Online after school classes for kids

Looking for quality LIVE art lessons for your child online? We will be hosting some fun and interactive cartooning workshops after-school in the comfort of your home. Parents can get some work done while the kids learn a new creative skill and get to virtually socialise with other kids. You can also make it a bonding activity where you can draw together with your child.

In a friendly and fun environment, the children will learn:

  1. The basics of cartooning
  2. How to draw the characters of each week
  3. Observational drawing techniques and building a character with different shapes
  4. How to use markers to make cartoon characters stand out
  5. How to choose the right colours for the characters
  6. Blending techniques to add colour to the illustrations
  7. Colouring in techniques that makes the characters stand out
  8. Cartoon drawing skills that they would master and continue to develop after completing the workshop

At the end of the workshop, the children will take away with them:Illustrations that they can show to their families and friends

  1. Basic Cartooning skills (including observational drawing techniques, tracing, blending and colouring in techniques) that they can practise at home and continue to develop their skills
  2. A newly found confidence in illustrations and drawing cartoons!

Beginners are welcomed. No experience is necessary. Our workshop teacher has a current Working with Children’s Check.

How does it work?

  • Join our Microsoft Teams online class, you’ll be sent a Microsoft Teams link before class. Simple instructions will be sent via email.
  • Have a few A4 papers, pencil, eraser, colour pencils/ crayons ready. Optional tools: sharpie pen or black marker

Dates: Fridays 4-5pm weekly or join us for the rest of Term 2 (24/6 – 1/7)

Cost: $15 per child for each 1-hour class or Join us for the rest of the term for $30

9.     Marvelous Matisse (Famous Artist 1)- (24/6) – Friday

10.  The Spectacular Starry Night (Famous Artist 2)- ( 1/7) – Friday
