Mabes is an Abstract fluid artist & educator based in NSW, Australia. 

Her abstract fluid paintings depict from an aerial perspective the beautiful landscape of Australia- the ever-changing colours and forms of the coastal landscape and the vibrant colours of the floral surroundings.

Her fluid artworks are based on her love of nature and colours. In this form of art, each painting is carefully designed and constructed. A special pouring medium is mixed with acrylic paint which allows the paint to move freely across the canvas to create unique and interesting patterns. This form of art is loved by the artist because of the uniqueness of each painting and the improvisation and technical skills that is required for creating each piece of artwork. She also finds the process of making each painting therapeutic as the paint flow across the canvas or panels. She hopes to bring a sense of joy and calmness to the viewers with her artworks.

Having taught adults and children for over 15 years, Mabes is passionate about sharing her knowledge and skills with her students. It is her joy in seeing her students have a lightbulb moment and have fun while learning.
